We have launched a wiki and an email listserv for members and parents can stay in touch and organize online between meetings and events!
A wiki is a type of website whose contents can be edited from the web browser, and which keeps a version history for each editable page. Our wiki site is editable by any member of the site and uses the MediaWiki engine, similar technology to what the famous Wikipedia uses. This allows for easy collaboration by members regardless of their technical acumen!
A listserv is an automatic mailing list server. When e-mail is addressed to a listserv mailing list, it is automatically broadcast to everyone on the list. This allows those of us who use email (mostly parents) another way to stay in touch between events and meetings.
To subscribe send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and follow the instructions you get in a reply message. Once you are part of the list, you can post message to everyone my emailing email@example.com. For further information, please contact the list administrator at firstname.lastname@example.org.
